One of the most iconic Casino games, Roulette offers players the chance to win by betting on numbers from 0 to 37. When the Roulette wheel starts spinning the ball falls into one of the number slots and the called number wins, maybe it is your lucky number! In Roulette you can chose to place a bet on a single number, range of numbers or combination of numbers. The odds change as you change your bets. There are bets on odd/even and the colors of the numbers which are black or red, with the exception of the 0/00 numbers which do not hold any color. I personally prefer placing bets on colors as it is easy for me to follow the game and the patterns this way (consecutive black numbers for example). The Roulette wheel has numbers ranging from 1 to 36, when playing European Roulette the 37th there would be 0 and there would be an extra 38th number 00 in American roulette. Since there is one more number on which the ball can land on the Roulette wheel, it’s better to avoid American Roulette. There’s no gain in it, even if you are really patriotic and you love the USA, you will lose more when playing American roulette. I am not going to cover American Roulette for that reason.

The casino edge or how you lose in the long run is the fact that the chance of hitting a number is 1 in 37, since the Roulette ball can land on 37 numbers, your max payout on a number is 35 times your bet however. Roulette is therefore a game where if your number comes up and you win, you’re as lucky as you can get. Do not be afraid of quitting early when you are ahead!
